Scratches

Day 95-Monday

Wake up at 4am! This insomnia on my good week is really annoying. Decide to get up at 5 and just get on with the things that are on my mind. Paying for the early start now though, exhausted.

Manage to walk to the polo club today for lunch- takes 30 minutes each way so not a bad bit of exercise. People are staring as we walk along the road as if we are mad! No one walks in Dubai. They probably think our car has broken down! We discover that the polo club have lovely desserts so now we are thinking we could be walking there for regular afternoon cake!

Holly had an interview today with a Ryan Gosling lookalike! She was so taken back by his looks that she can't even remember his name or the questions she was asked! Could be dangerous working so closely with such a good looking man!

Mum has a break down because when we skype Tom he tells her there are scratches on her new cooker at home. She has been going on about how this cooker needs to be cleaned in a special way and how much care she normally takes over it. She is so distressed she can no longer talk to Tom! We get dad to take a picture of the scratches on his phone so she can study the damage when he comes on Wednesday. Mum is not going to stop talking about this until she goes home! She finishes with "heads will roll"- who's we are not quite sure!

Vet phones and Buddy is all clear! Yay good news! So he just has IBS that hopefully will settle after this course of medicine and with his new food.

Having an early night tonight. A nice relaxing bath reading my book, then to bed. Problem is Matt has a football match tonight so he is bound to wake me when he gets in at midnight!
