The garden

Day 97-Wednesday
Today I get woken by a bird knocking on the window! Not once but 3 times! When I open the curtains it is just hovering there. It was a Eurasian hoopoe which have feathers on the top of their head that open into a fan. We don't get robins out here so maybe this is my granddad in Dubai form! Maybe he is coming to wish Holly good luck for her interview!
Dad is arriving today to see me for my birthday. Have a busy few days planned. Today we decide to head to the garden centre to try and make the sand pit look a bit better! The weather is so nice at the moment that it would be lovely to sit out in the garden. We buy some potted plants, some 'decking' and flower bed borders. Have to say I was really impressed with Dubai Garden Centre. Mum reads about it every day in our local paper and has been desperate to go. They have a terrible singing advert on the radio where they rap in a cockney accent using cockney phrases! But they were really helpful.
We spend a few hours sorting the garden out and it looks really good. Still a sandpit in the middle but the flowers look lovely! Now we just have to hope that Buddy doesn't dig up the new borders!
